New York Voices 2025

Thursday, Oct. 2, 7:30 p.m.
Grewen Auditorium, Grewen Hall
After 38 years of recording and touring, internationally acclaimed jazz vocal group New York Voices embark on their Grand Finale tour. Enjoy a celebration of songs and friendship as they write their final chapter as a group.
New York Voices is comprised of Kim Nazarian, Lauren Kinhan, Darmon Meader and Peter Eldrige, and the ensemble “...lives up to its reputation as the most exciting vocal ensemble in current jazz...to collect such quality voices in one group is rare enough, yet the real trick of New York Voices is how well they mesh…” (Boston Herald)
New York Voices have collaborated with The Count Basie Orchestra, Paquito d’Rivera the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, among many others. They launched a jazz education initiative, inaugurating its Vocal Jazz Camp for aspiring jazz singers in 2008. (A European version of the Camp began in 2016). Each of its members has also established a career as an educator: Eldridge is a voice professor at Berklee College of Music; Nazarian is vocal jazz instructor at Ithaca College and artist-in-residence at both Bowling Green State University and Tri-C Community College in Cleveland; Kinhan is an adjunct faculty member at New York University; and Meader is an artist in residence at Indiana University.
Don’t miss out on the chance to see NYV before they retire in 2026!
